Our mission partnership team just returned from a service trip to Haiti to work along side our friends in the community of Camp Mary (pronounced and also spelled, “Marie”). The Leadership Council in Camp Mary welcomed the team with warm hospitality. The team’s daytime headquarters was at a church facing National Highway 1 which runs up the coast of the country.
This year’s trip included getting to know the leadership, worshiping together on Sunday, leading children’s times in the afternoon, helping the community as they widened and made more passable a community road, sharing ideas of discipleship, praying with various people throughout the community and taking a powerful Jericho Prayer walk to a high vantage point of the village. Looking over the surrounding farm and grazing land the team joined with the local leadership council in a time of worship and prayer for God’s grace to be known and experienced.
Many families cannot afford to send their children to school because farming has been ineffective as a result of a lack of rain. The leadership there is praying for faithfulness as they believe and wait for the rains to come. Would you join our team in praying for rain for Camp Mary.
